I can definitely relate to KDP being intimidating at first, but I promise once you do it once (maybe twice) it becomes much less intimidating.

Chris has amazing breakdowns of each step.

For formatting (and now even writing and editing) I'm using Atticus which I love, however it's $150. I've heard great things about Reedsy Studio too which is similar but free.

With both of those you can get the right formats for publishing an ebook (PDF or Amazon Kindle version) or physical book.

Thank you! I have heard about Atticus, but yes it’s hard to justify spending even more money when you haven’t even created one e-book yet. 😊 Perhaps I’ll look into the other option to start.

I hear you, I would’ve tried the other option but didn’t know about it until I already bought and learned how to use Atticus. I’ve heard great things about it though :)

This is… dope (is that how you say that still these days?!? Or is it crispy?)

I’ve lost track of all the slang but I appreciate the sentiment on any of those lol

Jamie I think this is a great idea for an e-book. In the niche that I am in with my medical background with holistic practices, people have so many questions.

Thank you for posting the resources- some I did not know of and definitely will check it out.

Just subscribed to your newsletter 😉

That’s great, and you can keep expanding it whenever you get a question that isn’t in the book :)

Thank you for subscribing, I appreciate it :))

I absolutely love this. I am going to use this to my advantage beginning this week. I’m very excited and grateful. What are your thoughts about Book Bolt for book publishing?

Expand full comment

Book Bolt is great for no/low content books.

For written ones, check out Reedsy Studio.

Thank you so much 😊 I’m checking it out now. You know I’ll take heed🤗

I have the questions, answers, and written content. The part I struggle with is trying to package that into a format to sell.

I’m experimenting using Canva with a pdf, but I’ve recently received a recommendation that Book Funnel is better because of the sizing options.

To start, they will be housed on my Shopify website but in the future, perhaps on Amazon. The KDP publishing thing seems intimidating, but I found a great resource in Chris Stanley from Mini Book Publishing. He has a great step by step guide.

Any suggestion on the actual process of creating an E-book?
